No stored audio

Consultations are processed by our AI as soon as they finish. Once transcribed and a summary has been created, the audio file is deleted immediately.

What does Mirror do?

Mirror is an app that you can use in any face-to-face healthcare consultation to take notes for you. It uses artificial intelligence (AI) to listen to you and your clinician, then summarise what was discussed. You can then share these summaries with friends, family members or caregivers. It is designed to help empower patients as they navigate their healthcare.

Who is this for?

Mirror is for anyone who wants to remember and understand the information they are given in a healthcare setting. These can be routine consultations, such as a chronic condition review with your GP, or something unexpected such as discharge planning from a hospital stay. Mirror can be used for you personally, or if you are a caregiver to someone else.

Why is this needed?

Clinical conversations can be stressful and filled with complex information. Evidence has repeatedly shown that patients routinely struggle to remember what they are told in a healthcare setting. This means patients can miss doses of their medicine, which is responsible for 50% of all treatment failures². It can also lead to communication errors, which are responsible for 70% of adverse events³. Mirror is designed to help solve these challenges.

What does the app cost?

Mirror costs £9.99 per year. It comes with one free consultation, and you can cancel your subscription via the App Store anytime.

Is my personal information secure?

Absolutely. Aide Health has been serving patients in the NHS for several years and takes data security very seriously. Your personal information is never sold to third parties, and you are in control of who you share any consultation summary with. If you ever want your data removed, you can email contact@aide.health.

Will my clinician mind?

We find that many clinicians are very welcoming of the use of Mirror as a way to help patients better act on the advice they are given. At the beginning of a consultation, we recommend letting your clinician know you wish to use Mirror by saying, “I’d like to use my medical note-taker, it helps me remember what you’ve told me.” Finally, you can let them know that the audio recording is never stored.

Where is Mirror available?

Mirror is currently only available in the UK. Other countries may be added soon.
